November Developer Day: Getting Ready for Launch

This meetup is intended for intermediate to advanced WordPress developers. We will order pizza during the meetup. Please bring $5 to pitch in.

This month's topic will be "Getting Ready for Launch" with varying discussions and presentations focused on the different aspects of launching a web site. If you have a topic related to the launch process that you'd like to discuss, leave a comment and we'll give you the floor.

Building off a conversation from last month's meetup, topics could include, but are not limited to:

• Migrating Databases
• Multi-site to Single Site
• Single Site into Multi-Site
• Migrating a non-WordPress site into WordPress
• Local to Server

We'll choosing a new topic each month and will announce the next month's topic at the end of the meetup.

Note: If you have questions or topics outside of the main topic, we won't turn you away. We'll reserve the last 30 minutes or so of the meetup for off-topic questions.

Thank you Brandon, Jeff, Suzette, Stephen and Bob for covering this very helpful topic. I'm so glad to be part of this great WP community. And now feel one step closer to launching the site.

For your launch topic a good discussion would be on how much content should be on a site for launch, both for SEO and for site visitors.

I do the classes at Saddleback College, Los Angeles Valley College, Pasadena City College, Glendale City College, and Santa Monica College. Thinking after tonight that a WP for Beginners or something on creating content might be something to offer. I teach at about 15 colleges in California and Nevada but these are where I do the blogging. I keep the schedule on my web site
