I recently explored to use app builder service and started to build a simple app by myself without coding (just drag and drop). They also provide back-end service connections and I think it is pretty a good news for me as a non-programmers. I am not sure of the app performance. Can you give me some insights about it?

You can check these app builder service from here: http://blog.mobpartner.com/2013...

    Thanks!

This is my take... Very nice people... seemed to be quite knowledgeable. Its completely possible that I missed the point of the meeting. Seemed to be too much emphasis on getting nametags taped to people, getting on the website to post the exact time that people arrived, etc. Everybody talking at once, questions were asked that started to get answered but then randomly interrupted. Pretty unfocused overall. My expectations / suggestions after one meeting should not be taken into account since I do not really know what the objective of this type of meeting is exactly.

I will be doing a short presentation on the alpha version of a game application I have been working on. The game is a real time strategy game with a circus theme.

Going to do a short presentation. About 20 minutes for a quick demo and some time afterwards for questions. All I need is my laptop and the projector plus screen so I can go as soon as those are set up.

On a related note, Mobage-based games seem to be getting popular. It's hard to say they're particularly *good* games, but they're good at keeping users engaged. http://mobage.com/

For any developers I will give a Synopsis of the last two Meetups I attended. PhoneGap allows development for multiple Mobile platforms (i.e. Android, iPhone/iPad, Windows Phone, etc.)
OCJUG presentation was on Sonic as part of a Java Analysis tool set.
Plan to do a quick review and explain relevance to Android.

FACEBOOK TRANSFORMATION OF ANDROID DEVICES, announced April 5, might be a good topic to cover. I can't demo it, not being on Facebook, but would like to see what it looks like.

    • Martin M.

However, Facebook has created their own Mobile OS to compete with Android.

      April 7, 2013

    • Martin M.

Correcting myself. Facebook Home is NOT a complete OS but is designed to be run on top of Android. More than an App but less than an OS.
