MNJR4B: -

  1. MNKZKB: See http://1.JotHere.com/4148#MNKZHN

  2. MFMB3V:Event listing history, in order:

    1. MGEL2O: starting from listing creation, all authoring by I DestinyArchitect except if noted otherwise.
    2. MFRJYT: This listing is a copy of the prior listing & so on; so, for prior change/history entries here, see prior listing(none).
    3. MNJS2I: Since leader Martin said he could attend (make a special trip for a leadership meeting) if just before our meeting, last month I proposed this, as "pre-meeting" just before the last main OCAndroid main meeting, but "right before" the meeting was way too late to be any serious prep for the meeting.
MNJT13: ~1hr ago, MNJRWP occurred to me, so I scheduled this.  Currently the OCPython & OCAndroid meetings are both at the same frequency (monthly) but are within a day or so of each other, but one of those main meetings so these board meetings can and almost-certainly-will be moved so they are 2 weeks apart (Android board then Python main, then 2 weeks, then Python board then Android main) allowing an advanced board meeting for the other to be had before the other, also covered in this event comment.  This is also particular nice because Martin is now becoming a key leader for both.
    4. MNJT7T: So just now I wrote up this listing; and about to announce to pst[masked]Wed0032.
    5. MNJUJ3: Added Martin and Bill as Event Hosts, as they are the 2 most expected lead the group in my absence; added Lucy as event host because she is often very involved in the group planning, including helped plan this; pst[masked]Wed0040.
    6. MNKV2T: made all corrections from leader Lucy's review of this description she emails me plus adding MNKTPI & MNKUNC; now announcing to group (see 2nd cmt); pst[masked]Wed0154.
    7. MNKZLR: replaced content with MNKZKB as promised; pst[masked]Wed1525.

I could not make this meeting due to prior commitments. In anticipation of the next OCAndroid meeting I have downloaded the complete Android Track and Keynote of Google I/O 2013 in MP4 720p. (Late night 2.7 MiB/s was far better than achievable on site)

With Internet bandwidth at a premium at this venue I am proposing we build a "LAN Party" by WiFi type network with as much content (including Videos, Android Studio, web content, etc.) pre - downloaded and served out on the local network. This is very short notice but Michael has been working toward something similar. If necessary for this meeting I could LOAN a WiFi router and possibly some Network Storage hardware.

Maybe. I have schedule conflict. Will try to attend at least part of this meeting and later OCPython.

Will miss due to scheduling. DMV taking longer than expected.

I'd prefer to receive advance warning so I can plan accordingly. You're lucky I don't have a life. :/

Overall, I think it's a very good step to hold board meetings. In my extensive club experience over the years, they are essential in order to get anything serious done if several leaders are involved. Also, they reinforce the expectation that everyone will do his/her part -- and they provide a deadline and reporting structure in which to operate. A good move for OCAndroid, I would say.
