MFMB3V: Event listing history, in order:
Honest feedback about first meeting; although I hustled to be on time at 6pm, only Lucy, the meeting leader, was on time. She was very sharp and enjoyable as we talked for almost 2 hours when others, including DestinyA arrived. Much geek chatter amongst small 2 people groups and other than introductions nothing was even started when I had to leave at 9PM, after 3 hours. The venue was nice but the noise level was a bit high, particularly because there were multiple conversations going on at the same time. Not much like an actual meeting. No pizza or meals available in the venue and after being told me MUST buy something I enjoyed a $6 brownie. It seems like a very sharp and knowledgeable group, if focuses. Also being told several times I must bring my laptop and I had screwed up and I must signup for JotHere, just to give this feedback I'm not sure if I will return. I probably will in the future if this honest feedback doesn't get me banned.

Bill, thanks much for taking photos and videos at my party Sunday http://1.JotHere.com/MELucy
. I'd love to get access to them asap for a New Year's letter I'm sending to family and friends. Can I talk with you about that at this meeting? Please click "Reply" on this thread.

*Martin & Bill spent a long time talking, had a good time.
*Martin said he would consider becoming a meeting leader, something we all said we'd quite appreciate.
*Martin said he sometimes attends SoCalAndroid and they joke about me (yeah, because they're jealous!). He sayd they've been having their usual hack nights, though not recently due to the holidays, and only 1 presentation (presentations there still rare).

Joy hadn't yet gotten a smart phone, so as planned we talked about what to get.

*Mtg still going on! though coming to an end (Martin just left)
*Started on time (6pm) thanks to Lucy, with Larry there and sometimes Joy jumping between here and the MITCSC mtg. They had a good time.
*Formal meeting began ~7:35pm with also Bill & me joining. Plus a visitor from the MITCSC, Dimitry Turbiner, and his father & brother; they stayed about 15 min then had to leave, D many times mentioning he would signup & come next mtg.
*Introductions then news & Qs, all went well.
*more details coming.
