OCAndroid visiting SCALE 2013 aka SCALE11x --FREE for our booth volunteers!

MIHWR1 MIFP4X: We're one of the MIComm community groups visiting famous open-source conference SCaLE --FREE for our booth volunteers! --LIKELY A MUST-ATTEND for our members, so kindly read that page-just-linked-to then RSVP.

  1. MIM9J0: One can attend for any portion -attend for all that you can. In all cases, even if the start (but not end) time has past, please RSVP here as directed and attend.

  2. MIGQG5: our group's re-listings of this event series, in order:
    1. MIFMCN: repeats annually on the 4th Friday.
    2. MIMD6Z: SCaLE9x: 2011.02.25Fri(Day1)-26Sat(Day2)-27Sun(Day3)
    3. MIFP99: SCaLE10x: 2012.01.20Fri(Day1)-21Sat(Day2)-22Sun(Day3)
    4. MIFP0Z: SCaLE11x: 2013.02.22Fri0800-24Sun1730 http://meetu.ps/rBfh4 -RSVP now!
    5. MIMDB4: SCaLE12x: 2014.02.28Fri0800-03.02Sun1730~ http://meetu.ps/xNgM0 -RSVP now!
  3. LG4OWH: What are these codes as “LG4OWH:” on this point? They’re short IDs to date-stamp, uniquely-reference, & portably-track most any point or item.
  4. MDMN8M: Listing History, in order
    1. MIFGYY: all entries & changes by I Destiny unless noted here.
    2. creation:
      1. date=pst2011.12.30Fr2242=LX22NH
      2. by=DestinyArchitect
      3. immediate motive=post this great applicable event; also make an event post (for this real & complex event) which would be a great template for other event posts, notably which would be easy for humans to read & maintain but but also very scalable, on at least Meetup.com, by most any human merely (having the computer fully-copy such a post (starting with this one) which is exemplary & related)-then-(editing the new one suit, with minimal edits needed) so to create & maintain a desired & top-quality event post in minutes instead of an hour or more, including even supporting & tracking recursive copies (copies of copies, so no one single source) notably increasing scalability and resultant "asexual evolution" of event posts (of course here "evolution" is digital and with humans dictating copies & edits/mutations), so also making event posts "come alive"!
      4. operation ("Copy", "Schedule a Meetup", or "SUGGEST A MEETUP")=Schedule a Meetup
      5. source:
        1. link=not applicable since NOT a copy
        2. lastMod_version_status=not applicable since NOT a copy
      6. lastMod_version_status=pst2012.01.19Th0734 4.1 Announce-Emailed pst2012.01.19Th07 (just 1 day before);
    3. MFS1HM: Per "Repeating on the third Fri of every 12 months", this is auto-scheduled 2013.01.18Fri0900. However, says the official URL http://SoCalLinuxExpo.Org/scale11x, the real event is 2013.02.22Fri-24Sun, "February 22-24, 2013"; start & end hour aren't given so guess from last year.
    4. MFS2IY: change event name fr(via OCAndroid:(SCALE=annual Southern CAlifornia Linux Expo) Day 1of3 10=SCALE10x)
      1. MFS2LI: this combines 1 listing per day (so 3) into 1 for, which should create a larger RSVP list and be simpler to maintain. We don't have high enough RSVPs (at last one, just 7 across 3 days) to justify dividing them into 1 per day.
    5. listing not finished, more construction coming; pst2012.12.28Fri2149.
    6. MIFOP8: model listing after OCPython's partially including title fr((SCALE=annual Southern CAlifornia Linux Expo) 2013=SCALE11x, via OCAndroid) to(OC-Python visiting SCALE 2013 aka SCALE11x --FREE for our booth volunteers!); undid much of JotHere-style event post; also improve some of the wording; pst2013.02.18Mon1323.
    7. MIME2V: fully import model listing after OCPython's lastest version MIMC1K; pst2013.02.22Fri0419.

At our OCAndroid Main Mtg now http://meetup.com/OCAndroid/eve... he now tells me at he was here just on Saturday

OCAndroid's "hand-picking" who's a mbr is really working, esp as I witnessed here!
*To be a mbr of our group, for 2yrs now I've been unique:set&enforced the basic requirement everyone complete all our few profile Qs,with the"toughest" being simply MFWPic (a mbr has 2hv their pic published here to stds else provide a approved reason for waiver).
**This has taken me MANY hrs/mo to enforce(pls volunteer 2help!), esp telling many who didn't follow our app dirs to now follow em, which gets some wrongfully upset at me and even results in sometimes us not letting-in someone even tho 1of us referred him/her (as so far happened most recently w/ Troy Smith http://meetup.com/OCAndroid/eve... ) and ~1/3rd of our applicants never comply so don't get in.
**But,as I long anticipated,it PAYS OFF BIG! -as I've never seen more strongly&amazingly demonstrated than at this our event here, as I explain in my next sub-comment here.

With no idea of testing this, just being good 2all grps, I also listed this event identically on OCPython http://meetu.ps/wXzBj which has nearly as many mbrs(203 vs our 240) BUT THERE always ANYONE can get in w/0 stds(tho soon no more!). But by the event start, that got only 3 RSVP YES(compared 2our 8),&even tho SCaLE has~3x more converge on Python than Android;AND all 3 of those were a 100% waste of my time(~6hrs total waste helping em,as actually 0 showed-else-supported us -due 2em not reading&following the same clear dirs,+2of3 were quite disrespectful 2me when I stopped all2help em)-whereas here,100% of our self-RSVPing YES(~3x as many!) read&followed the dirs,&on own,&even tho they involved,+formed our grt team of 6 that manned our booth +WELL-promoted all the OTHER grps(OCPython,&even OC-PHP&OCDrupal)EVEN when 0 of em bothered to come&help. THAT'S TOTAL KICKIN-ASS, OCAndroid!, and it I think it comes from all of u -all of us_OCAndroid_- each being very hand-picked. Way to go!!

Miles, per ur volunteer shift then, GOOD WORK working this our booth on Sunday!
      *&even tho u
      **opened,AND
**unlike in all other shifts,u were&did alone(as OC-PHP&OCDrupal not showing up Sun(per William not bothering to get any1)&we not yet gotten any more volunteers for then)
*PLUS seems on ur own initiative u started this "Sign up for our Mailing List" https://picasaweb.goog...
      **Did u create this?
**That was great thinking! Yes the booth work instructions covered getting people signed up on the spot http://1.JotHere.com/... but not (very important)getting visitors contacts by other means now reminding me to add that http://1.JotHere.com/... (appearing soon),thx!
      **I've created 4us contacts4these 2 prospects, "Mark Baker(sp?)" <[masked]> & "Andrew Len" <[masked]>, &will soon invite them to join us.

Miles, cd u check if Troy Smith(who u had apply 2our grp: above http://meetup.com/OCA... )has now created another Meetup profile using someone else's pic&name&info 2use&using2try 2get into our grp&mtg?
Why I ask? As 1can read there
*he was seemingly anxious2get in our grp(2get in on this)
*he 2x disrespected our pic std on his app(when asked 4a pic of him, gave a book pic, then wrote"Yes"2~"pic of u2std"),so also wasting my time 2instead explain fixes
*if no pic,our app offers waiver if explain, but 2of2x he disregarded(really suggest hiding bad)&abandoned
      *&now on Tue I got a person attempting 2get in apparently using other(s)'s pic&name&info w/many&2x-continued signs of forgery([masked] using name"Donna")& sneak-in attempts r rare http://meetup.com/OCA... ,making Troy,w/his above attempt just now w/disrespects&concerns&then abandoning, the present #1 suspect.

member Nathan Haines http://meetup.com/OCAndroid/mem... attendance & review of this.
*In exploring the exhibit hall on Sunday else Saturday, I first saw him manning (& perhaps overseeing) the Ubuntu booth.
**I think there he had the ability or demo to install Ubuntu on Android devices!
*As our old timers already know, for months Nathan ran Ubuntu Hour of Lake Forest about every 2 weeks which he & I listed on our calendar http://google.com/search?q=inur... as another great event for our members (as Ubuntu is the most popular desktop flavor of Linux, and Android is derived from (& returning to) Linux.
*Since Nathan was one of our members attending this SCaLE11x, I just added him here as attending.
**Nathan, in the future, be sure to add your RSVP YES. Indeed, will you be going to next SCaLE http://meetu.ps/xNgM0 ? -if YES or even a 1% MAYBE, RSVP YES now with comment!

TOMORROW Tue 1830-2130 in Irvine: OCPython's monthly mtg http://meetu.ps/q88FH featuring GOOGLE APP ENGINE with AngularJS -in other words, probably the hottest scalable web platform available today&why I got back into Python.
*THX ESP2 OCAndroid BOOTH WORKERS FOR PROMOTING THIS at SCaLE. U got signups! &OCPython mbrs sd appreciate u&I just announced 2them of ur work incl to the 15+ RSVPed YES attendees http://meetup.com/Orange-County...
*YOU PROBABLY WANT TO ATTEND THIS, TOO --that is if you ever plan to work with Python or a web backend, or just want to know what's cool with web backends, or u just want to know about the OCPython group u promoted incl at one of our best meetings. So join OCPython now & RSVP YES.
    **Bill said he will tonight!
**(Yes,u cd come as my guest, but that's a little complex for me,+doesn't get u on the attendee list,+doesn't allow u to post&get notified on all the event discussion.)

At SCaLE, what possible future activities for OCAndroid, OCPython, & our other we represent did you find? And what about the ones you find at our future events? Simply post each of them as a single top-level comment on the matching group's event listing, plus a few more details to make them shared& happening, per the directions I wrote this morning for everyone "Discovering future activity opportunities (at SCaLE visits and at at any of our events)" http://1.JotHere.com/3999#MISDX... -please read, and reply there else to-this-thread with comments. It also covers searching for activities, too, and was inspired by Martin yesterday delightfully finding us a possible activity(on Mozilla),&sharing it w/me, so a guide for him&all-of us to well search&post for activities for us, modeled after the 2 of the possible future activities for us I found at SCaLE & posted. So lkgFwd2 his & everyone's activity proposal discussion threads! And thanks to Martin & all others finding us future activities.

PAPER HANDOUTS (as biz cards) FOR OUR BOOTH
*When I arrived Sat at out our booth, doh, I forgot any handouts.
*OCPHP & OCDrupal had a combined 5in*5in flyer but I think biz cards wd be better.
*I think biz cards wd be good. We need a sheet of biz cards 2x5 on a page, one page for "OCAndroid and another for OC-Python (note different spelling. Something is a LOT better than nothing. But I don't have time to design.
*LUCY, could you make a draft, and put it in the the shared Google folder we set up? Then I'll review, tell any changes, & print, for tomorrow morning's exhibit.

Did not see this thread until too late and the group had worked around the problems. I had brought card stock (both laser and ink-jet) and it was in one of my bags in the booth Saturday.

    • Martin Martinez

Basically what I learned from running booths at larger conventions is pack everything that could be used. Half the stuff I packed at the last minute and was left in the car.

This was my 10th year but my first as an Exhibitor. They had many fine sessions but I wish they had a Mobile/Embedded track concentrating on Android etc. (Truthfully, I was asked to help organize such a track but I started too late in the year.)

Thanks for reply, Martin. I thought if you were there before Bill & me you could take the morning shift. I'm delayed, too. My ETA to Bills in Orange is 9:30am, then shortly leaving if Bill's ready as I expect he will be. Perhaps we can meet in Orange before going? And all go together? What time do u expect to leave from Orange?

Bill& esp I are overworked a bit after having to prepare & 1st setup & staff the booth Sat (we worked the whole time actually) then rush to the Brentwood Poly Pool Party http://meetup.com/OCA... but me on just 4 hr sleep each of the past few days and then only into a hotel room (1st (lowest price) recommendation of http://1.JotHere.com/... nearby Royal Century Hotel for actually $75 total) at 2:45am~. I'm already been up for an hour posting updates to our booth workers. Our ETA to the conference & booth ~11:30am.

COOL PARTY I'M helping organize (promoting) tonight "Feb24Sat6pm Brentwood Poly Family's Huge Poly Pool Party #9 http://meetu.ps/vYhp4 -- already over 300 people RSVPing YES
*Much as I love the SCaLE this will almost certainly beat Games Night (unless ur just into video games, and my bud Bill loves em a lot, yet he's still joining me)
*Catering especially to newcomers but everyone's there, this is annual party in its 9th occurrence is a MUST-SEE for anyone in SoCal possibly curious about polyamory (one of the RESPONSIBLE forms of open-relationships; hey, just as we make our software open, make your relationships open, too! -actually rather seriously (open-source software wasn't intuitive for most us coming from proprietary, either; many don't get it at first look). And even if it's not your thing, u WILL learn stuff u can apply in monogamy&other romance by checking it out.
*RSVP either on that my re-listing else reply here(or just tell me privately if u're shy) and come as my guest!

    February 23, 2013

    • DestinyArchitect

Oh it is supposed to close promptly at 12:30am, and because of the huge attendance, allow time for parking. See the event re-listing http://meetu.ps/vYhp4 for more.

Everyone, AT THIS TIME (else as soon as you read this), IN PREP FOR THIS EVENT (SCaLE TOMORROW 8am to Sun 5:30pm, for whatever parts u'll be attending), now work though THE MOSTLY-PREP TODO LIST http://1.JotHere.com/3999#MEG92... the order it gives, including once you've confirmed your booth volunteer shift with me (as several already have: thanks!) and then registered (ideally for free due to your shift), then followup with the CARPOOL & HOTEL SHARING OFFERS there plus hotel options, and MAKE MORE OFFERS (all by reply post there else here), plus pack up and BRING EVERYTHING ON THE TODO LIST (which of course includes ur laptop!). Please let me & all know how it's going by reply posting there else here (including thanks to many who already have -indeed everyone!), and look forward to seeing ya all at this awesome event!

Miles, glad to see u offering to carpool. See & reply there to my carpool offer http://meetup.com/OCA... . For lack of a better idea, I'd recommend making each carpool or hotel-share offer under 1's attendance thread as I've done here. One can point to them using a URL such as I've generated here (requires using the brower's inspector) or just say "See my attendance thread" and quote some text from there.

I hv some semi-sad but not so surprising news. What r those cmts here by"A former member"? Well @~9:30pm,I saw unexpectedly &w/o any warning, William http://meetup.com/members/27706... quit OCAndroid
*&4no reason he's told me(incl if he did ans Meetup's"Why are you leaving?",I cant tell per a recent recurring Meetup bug turning those notices off).
*Unless true emerg, quitting or doing anything notably negative w/o expectation&explanation violates the"due process"rule http://1.JotHere.com/3975#MHGM3... long posted 4our grp&other Meetup grps, incl all which Im a ldr.
*But more neg from him comes of little surprise;&he_wasn't_a mbr, just a cross-promoter(attended0);&u've seen plenty neg already in his posts here. &I wdnt AT ALL tolerate it,but again he had invited us&got us committed2 co-leading w/him -then starts2undermine. But fortunately this time I may hv started,2,spotting what he does:so quietly built our own connections2 SCaLE, then just told him what I saw -&he up&quits! Go figure.

DestinyArchitect, what is the status of your group's involvement in SCALE with the booth? Need to know as will be getting banner printed in a week. Sent you an email but have not heard back. We need to communicate on this directly.

    January 30, 2013

    • DestinyArchitect

cmt2of2: But I'll take it u wanted to say u wd hv liked to plan sooner; agreed, just wasn't possible 4me. &Yes if that _ legitimately_ means no combo banner of any sort, so be it. But still I DID reply to the idea u proposed me,which was&still is No(sorry),same as I said last yr,&for reasons I give above. &I apologize for not having time to think of something else till now. &On this new idea, still there might be other ways to hang ur banner (as on a string -maybe); regardless, all u had2say is _that_ problem,+say that last min planning really worries u(or what the underlying core). Per ur feedback tho,I asked Lucy 2design the 8x1ft to 6x1ft so it cd hang fr the front table,so she did. The orig idea, hving a combo banner w/all the group names on it,has the problems I mentioned. But Lucy's&my's suggestion of a simple generic combo banner for the booth wd seem to solve those problems&more, and go along with & indeed enhance ur original(&very good idea) to have a combo tech group booth.

      February 22, 2013

    • DestinyArchitect

Lucy got up at 4am today and finished off the construction of the 3 banners she designed & proposed above, just slightly improved. She used InDesign tiling printing onto white light thicker 11x8.5in paper stock (like used for printing business cards but not perforated), and said after printing, the construction took her 4 to 5hrs -whoa! She cut the pieces to fit and then attached them with rubber cement plus clear std packing tape on the back and around the edges. And they also roll up nicely.
      *WAY TO GO, LUCY!!
*Lucy, please also include here a link to PDFs should should one want to preview them or print them again.
*I suggested they hang via their edge tape, using safety pins on the back wall drape or clear packing tape on table. Lucy agrees.

*--something quite useful for most every OCAndroid meetup - here we're using especially to find others to carpool & roomeshare with http://1.JotHere.com/3999#MIHZB... plus to comment on that main listing.
**I encourage all OCAndroid mbrs2do this. Some of us (including all OCAndroid leaders, as Bill&Lucy&me here), long have accounts each commented there and authored pages there --the right-side bar shows all the authors there and their bios.

*What inspired me to start this thread? To my pleasure, I just noticed our attendees Miles http://meetup.com/OCA... and Siqiao http://meetup.com/OCA... within the last 24 hrs registered at http://1.JotHere.com (Miles even has a linked picture and made a comment on our main MIComm listing http://1.JotHere.com/... (about carpools)) -way to go, guys!
**What the registration may not hv alerted u (did it? Where?) is the the minimal auto-registration is very restrictive due to WordPress sites being flooded with spam bots. So for instance, Miles comment was marked as pending until just now I approved it; hopefully WordPress is smart enough that his comments will now auto-approve -may take a few manual approvals.

Just want to comment as I see these things coming through. Offering free passes so freely yet we have a limited amount. OCAndroid gets 6. DestinyArchitect never communicated with me to get the code so don't know what he is giving out. There is no booth or exhibit on Friday. There are only events happening Friday. Pass available for volunteers is a full conference pass (you can attend all 3 days if you so wish). Booth is pretty well manned for Saturday but free to stop by. As well, OCPHP, LAPHP, and LampSIG is having a PHP BOF Sat night @ 7 in Carmel Ballroom if anyone is interested in attending that.

....We had a blast hanging out in LA for that nodejs meetup but a shame organizing with you has been an absolute nightmare to say the least. Its a booth for a user group. We are not launching the space shuttle here. I truly hope things don't blow up Saturday cause my patience has run its course over this. I'm pretty much done with this nonsense about arguing on here so everyone gets it in their inbox. Why would you burden your members with this crap. When I have time tomorrow I'll forward that pdf. Don't know why that matters so much. It didn't have info on how to use the code btw. Anyhow, typed enough, i'm done.

William,3 cmt replies from u? Well all can see u needed 2vent; &yes indeed,if I held back so much key info from my co-leaders,&after inviting them,&then also hammered on them, apparently addictively, when they weren't doing things in my assumed time frame, nor effectively, yes I'd probably create a lot of frustration,2. But all that was needed here fr u was a 1 sentence answer: 4now u reveal2us u"do have a spreadsheet for volunteers",then of course,What's the URL? As u did last yr(&long b4 this pt),give us access! Instead of again just proving my pt: that u hv key info, now also a central sched spreadsheet, which, now that I ask,u wag in front of all of us as better, but u r still r withholding it! &when we just said we need it! Or if all this I say of u is wrong, then pls show that u instead u share&r quickly forthcoming w/key info others wd need,&that u notice&celebrate the positive things _everyone_ does,&that u r a positive person, -instead of replying w/more examples further proving my pt.

Hi Destiny, just updated my RSVP. I will not be in attendance, as I'm leaving for a vacation with some friends. Hope you all have a great time, and learn some really cool stuff!

      Thanks,Tommy; and bummed u can't join us.
      *U'll be missed. Including
**ur presentation at our last meeting was awesome! Indeed I featured & pictured it & u under http://1.JotHere.com/... in that our guide for community groups for doing great presentations!
*Google Calendar doesn't seem to offer me a way to set the RSVP for anyone in an event but oneself,
**so please also see if u can RSVP NO to ur Google Calendar entry for ur shift (link above) so it will show crossed-out on our live shift calendar! ; my improved RSVP instructions http://1.JotHere.com/... , inspired by your response here & crediting u http://1.JotHere.com/... , has all the details.

Well the "nada" worked as William saw that and, after a few more grumblings from him+reminder email to him, at 1:09pm today (1.5 days b4 the conf) he finally coughed up our the exhibitor discount codes (which SCaLE emailed him back in Jan), though he wd send absolutely nothing else, not even instructions on how to use them (&unfortunately the procedure SCaLE is having each booth worker do to get the discount is still a bit tricky) nor any of my now 3 requests for the Exhibitor info SCaLE sent him, just ignoring all my requests for this; but,ya know, that's William. So I rushed & wrote up instructions on to securely get ur code &reg4free http://1.JotHere.com/3999#MIE66... (which actually extend and improve on SCaLE's instructions which I later unearthed&also included there), and now just granted u(ur std email address) access; so give it a shot &register now and report back(by posting there else here) on how it goes -u're the 1st to try this full booth worker reg system I've spun together.

You gotta teach us how you did that Google doc to output 1 code depending on the logged in user.

This thread's comments I had intended to be under Miles (& temporarily Troy's) attendance thread http://meetup.com/OCA... as my cmt there
http://meetup.com/OCA... explains (indeed that's roughly where these comments should have been) but due to something on my side they got posted here. But may be just as well since this is a big enough topic so let's just keep THIS THREAD ON FEEDBACK ON THE REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS esp when using a coupon code.

Booth volunteering is good for Saturday (Bill and yourself are welcome to stop by tho to assist). Had to make those arrangements as zero communication. Do your own planning for Sunday for the booth. Due to persistent organizing difficulties, the groups will not be sharing a booth next year. I know what you say but I organize 3 groups, swamped at work, and have a family; I manage.

      William
      *Ur_logistics_info always gd,thx.
*I'd foremost like u ans my Q "what's the big advanced rush?",as I hope clear by my post u reply2
**not u just extrapolating incl neg-deciding our future partnership.
      **Like most all I say,I straightforward&sincere
**indeed this Q key2"persistent organizing difficulties"u cite:by ur posts,u loudly make all here aware I somehow wrong by somehow holding u back, but IMHO u_dont_explain here_How&"what's the big advanced rush?"_&I honestly DONT know. If u want2speak&now act on it,explain it.
*IMHO seems more respectful if u phrased not"the groups will not" but"I'd not want the groups to" as then u not cloak who it coming fr(fr u)&u invite _mutual_decision.
*I,2,am feeling frustrated w/the persistent organizing difficulties bet u&me,incl I actually done my best 2fix em(as can partially be seen my many posts here&esp elsewhere in response)+I'm not a quitter;but if u nonetheless wish2quit our partnership next yr then it probably just as well.

An update on this is that the SCALE booth is going forward as it will be a combined booth for OC Drupal, OCPHP, and OC Android. The purpose of such a booth is to showcase the OC area and the specific various technology being represented to attendees.

More details are will be posted here or from DestinyArchitect (as communication means are warranted) as they are found out.

We will have a very limited # of tickets for volunteers to share amongst the (3) groups so we will have to wait to see how this is arranged as we don't know how many we will get yet.

The (3) groups will share the booth Saturday with OC Android having free reign over the booth on Sunday. I (William Estrada of OCPHP) will be fully organizing the booth, at least for Saturday, in terms of swag for table, amenities for the booth, and volunteers.

Just wanted to make note of this to the group and on this message board. I did read above but really, where can I get the decoder ring to read this stuff :)

*What William u post here is on-target&good stuff -Thx,William!
      *+I plan OC-Python http://Meetup.com/Ora... to be in our booth,too
      **as I SMSed William "2/8/13 6:19 PM"&he didnt object
      **This'll give SCALE+our booth more advertising,more attendees,&likely more volunteers!
      **Here's the OC-Python evt http://meetu.ps/wXzBj
      **The grp logo&site r going 2take some work which I aim 2do b4.
**I'm the OC-Python Co-Organizer as of 2012.12.01 http://1.JotHere.com/... which in practice nicely means I effectively run the grp(since Head Dan seemingly prefers just attend&hv me handle all the ldrship)
*&+,um,Yes,my above event description presently requires a minor "decoder ring" -but hey, u guys are supposed to be coders, right? It sd be easy 4u... but ironically coders are the 1s who grumble about this stuff the most! Nonetheless, yes, I'll be shortly updating the descrip incl to my latest event listing stds which'll make it a hair easier for u all :-)

Enjoyed SCALE last year. Didn't think I would understand anything there, but it turned out I attended meetings on vector graphics, photography, and video editing that were very informative.

*Now adding leader Bill http://meetup.com/OCAndroid/mem... as an Event Host on this since
**at the end of (yesterday's Main Meetup http://meetu.ps/qGHTR ) he said he'd go with me for the full thing (& we'd rent a hotel room together) and
**this then gives us a leader (besides me) from OCAndroid.
*I'll still handle getting up the web listings but he could be helpful in say getting our booth staffed which I'll be announcing once the listings are up.

"3:46 PM (49 minutes ago)", to me Destiny, event Host William http://meetup.com/OCAndroid/mem... emailed (sd be posted per http://1.JotHere.com/ap0 , esp given OCAndroid has multiple leaders to coordinate, including on every event :-) this useful & timely point quote(
Just noticed on OC Android this event http://www.meetup.com/OCAndroid.... OCPHP does not have a booth yet, haven't even talked about planning, or decided on getting on. Am I missing a discussion about the day? Seems to be an announcement from last year as this year is end of Feb; not Jan. Hope all is well.)

Glad u're working on this *in good advance*, something which hopefully rubs off on me. Yes, this is an auto-generated event as could guess via the original URL you quote ending in letters ( dprkkcyrcbxb ); by RSVPing, I've converted it to real digits. And yes the date needs to be fixed, plus the description. I will handle that soon. Yes would very much like to do a booth again as we did last year (shared & with scheduled workers) &even better; please feel free to get started on that. Per ur reminder, I'll likely start working on this this coming week.
