Thanks for the nice pic! It also helps establish attendance - I've tagged all 2 I recognize. And on that note, who is the guy on the lower right here? Did he RSVP? I can't find him among the attendees nor our members. Please tag him in the photo else post his URL & name here. -thanks.

(LT1MK6 - 2 points for a group not allowing unknown public to show up to meetings (LT1MJP Ahh, I *now* recognize that unknown person in the pic: it's one of our group's secret admirers, Pete http://meetup.com/OCAndroid/members/25890722 , who shows up to meetings but never joins (well, until now; I just tagged him here, now that he exists in our Member database!); I now see he's been coming to a few of our events, but since our site was public never joined us, indeed he never joined Meetup.) (LT1MKH But now after I made our site private, ahh, his group profile reports on "September 20, 2011" he joined us (indeed that day he also joined Meetup says his main profile http://www.meetup.com/members/25890722/ , plus has joined 4 other Meetup groups whose sites are all public as our ours were) and now I see delightfully RSVPes YES to most everything we post, even before it's emailed out. So there's a fair chance he wasn't just lurking our meetings, but also other Meetups as well; or at the very minimum, now that he's had to join our group, he's clearly joined 4 others.) (LT1MKW Lessons from this? (LT1MM4 Well at least with Pete, our making the site private not only helped us (getting commitment & attendance-tracking & members), but then also helped 4other Meetup groups! What a story.) (LT1MNM Might go to the age-old lesson, if you give something away totally free (including just anyone you don't know can float into meetings, as ~90% of Meetup groups do), people don't appreciate it as much; or at least they certainly don't do these little things (as commitment online) which significantly helps the group back. Indeed perhaps this goes to explain why Meetup groups, especially social groups but not just, seem to have quite a few drifter characters which you wouldn't be quite sure about trusting and definitely can't build a solid group on --if ~90% groups on Meetup let in drifters, then where would the drifters go? To Meetup, of course!) (LT1MO5 Something to think about: for going private, or at least not allowing the general public to find meetings unless they're a member, this is certainly 2 pros (experience of getting Pete for 5 Meetup groups, plus what reason would say you'd probably get (drifters) if you don't do it.)) LT1MKW) LT1MK6)
