Hello Gabe. You should be fine. The class starts at noon and runs until 4:00 pm. We'll be at the Mary Pretlow Library over on Ocean View. If you can't make it until after the noon hour, that is fine as you'll still be able to catch plenty of information.

Hi Dean, We do not have a set schedule as to when we hold classes. This is largely dictated by need and the organizers' availability. I will touch bases with you once I have some dates in mind to see if you are available. By the way, Welcome to OCB!

How often do you have this class? I work 2 weekends per month and am working that weekend. This class is exactly what I need.

Actually none of our trips require the 101. The people who complete the 101 have a follow trip that is only for them. That trip is geared towards the novice backpacker and compliments what they have learned. So you are good to sign up for any of our trips. Welcome to OCB.

I see that some of your trips require this class and was wondering if the class is required for experienced hikes new to the group?
