Hi, I was wondering if there was someone that would be willing to come into my job and educate my 4-H Club Kids about Backpacking and what to pack....this month. If so could you message back and let me know? Thanks!!!!

Any leftover questions? Bring them this Sunday Feb. 10 with you on our short walk at First Landing State Park in Va Beach.

Thank you so much for organizing the class. That was very informative. It may have been a bit "overwhelming" for me, being a newbie to backpacking, but you guys were also very reassuring and now I'm just excited to start and keep learning! Thanks again.

Probably just like a hike, it all comes together one step at a time.

Thanks for organizing and presenting all this information. It was really nice to see some new faces and some old friends. I hope to see everyone again soon.

Howdy to those on the wait list. I recommend showing up, I'm sure there will be plenty of room and there will be those who can't make it at the last minute.

Thanks Phil. Do I need to bring anything?

I'm going to bring something to write on, there always seems to be new gear or recommended trails

I am thinking that I can bring a "warm weather load" and a "cold weather load" in 2 backpacks to show different approaches to needs that vary. Plus, this gives me an excuse to finally order my new winter bag! My old one is due for retirement after a long time of intermittent use.

Is there going to be a chapter taught about proper hip flask utilization?

Also, when we cover fire building techniques, will we burn books? We are meeting at a perfectly nice library.

Thanks Donnie. That wasn't what I meant, but that's OK. See you there.

Thanks Jimmy, I would encourage anyone attending this event to bring whatever gear they would like. A good variety of gear at class offers more information to use when it comes time to make a purchase.

Do you need any help with this one. I have plenty of eqiupment for demo purposes. Maybe camping stoves or sleeping pads and bags. Don't want anything to do with snakes. We don't get along.
