Introduction

I'm interested to gain a better understanding of computer, and mobile device capabilities. I'm a beginner but also enthusiastic when it comes to learning.

What do you hope to learn from this group?

I don't have specific things I would hope to learn. I'm going more for a broad understanding of computers and mobile devices etc.

What can you contribute to this group?

I'm a creative and enthusiastic person. I'm also good at solving problems and being resourceful.

What are your core strengths/passions?

Music, digital audio recording, sports, my strength is creativity and I'm pretty detailed.

What is your favorite video game/ mobile app?

Video game: Call of Duty Mobile apps: Yelp, Meetup, email (I like that I can quickly respond to my business associates across the world from my phone). qik, juice defender (I just downloaded this one). I would like to learn about a lot more.

The specific purpose of this non profit is to provide technological solutions to real world problems through advancements in mobile computing. We are a nonprofit corporation operated by volunteers for the benefit of our members. We will hold training seminars for the general public.

The vision for this group is to meet, network, learn and share ideas to build a community of people from all backgrounds, entrepreneurs, business strategists, accountants, legal attorneys, contractors, marketers, fundraisers, directors, producers, journalists, artists, coders, bloggers, tweeters and creative thinkers that are interested in advancements in web/mobile computing and whether it be video games, serious apps, or a nice to have type of apps. From novices to experts or people who just want to be part of the next wave. I welcome anyone who is passionate about what they do. Current platforms are iphone, ipad, Android, Blackberry, Symbian.

Hackers can demo any apps or projects they have worked on at our meetups, please notify me if you wish to do so and eventually we will have professional speakers share their experiences of what works and how to achieve success.

We will be hosting competitions on here for for anyone who is up for the challenge, Graphic Designers, Coders, Database designers, Web/SQL, HTML5, CSS3, XML, Java, C#, SQL, Information Architects , Wireframers, Video Game Developers, User Interface Designers, Enterprise Application Specialists, Sound and Media artists. with opportunities to win up to $3000.00.
