Victor Tanious will give a presentation on "Freethinkers’ and Humanists' participation in historical social movements".

What have Humanists done historically to make the world a better place?  The discussion will highlight the contributions of Humanists in social movements.

Also, we will be accepting nominations for the upcoming Board elections in January.   Please drop your name in the hat if you are eager to see the Humanist Association play a more active and visible role in Orange County.  We would like to keep the board gender balanced, so we encourage more women to nominate themselves as well.  There are six positions open: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and two Board Members.  Our organization would be enriched if our Board can get help with tasks associated with membership, hospitality, newsletter, audiovisual set-up, publicity, fundraising, etc. These provide an opportunity for those who desire to actively participate in our association.

Let’s make the year 2014 a remarkable year for Humanism in Orange County!

Sorry I missed the presentation. Had a nasty virus last week, followed by the usual nasty bronchitus. Be thankful I wasn't there...

I'm not sure which 'group' you're referring to. The Orange County Humanists (HAOC) do a number of events throughout the year. But mainly they hold monthly general meetings with varying programs. The meetup group is distinct, just a meetup group on the internet. I will be scheduling some discussion group sessions in the coming year. ---- If you're looking for other type events, please specify the type that interest you. Maybe we can accommodate you. Maybe not.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
