Announcing a new Meetup for Orange County Raw and Living Foods Community!

What: Dinner and Movie at Au Lac!! :)
When: Sunday, August 21,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Au Lac Vegan Living Foods Restaurant - Banquet Room
16563 Brookhurst St.
Fountain Valley, CA 92708

This month’s movie night at Au Lac will feature guest speakers from the GMO Labeling Initiative. We’ll be meeting at Au Lac on Sunday, Aug 21, at 6:00 PM for a screening of “The Future of Food” before a presentation from Pamm Larry and Stacey Hall from the GMO Labeling Initiative.

Pamm Larry is leading the 2012 CA Ballot Initiative to require mandatory labeling of genetically engineered foods.

In the last few months, Pamm has been travelling around the state looking for those who are excited to work with the ballot initiative. Support and enthusiasm are growing rapidly through small meetings where food activists have come together to learn about what the GMO Labeling Initiative is doing, connect with other activists, and sign on to help educate their community about GMOs. Most importantly, the GMO Labeling Initiative is preparing for the considerable task of gathering the required signatures to get this initiative on the ballot.

This is an incredible opportunity to reach out and educate large numbers of people about GMOs. The Initiative is setting up speaking engagements, film screenings, tabling events, sidewalk rallies, and lots more all over California. It's been exciting to see the people of CA mobilize to affect the future of our food!

This event will also feature Stacey Hall, who has been a volunteer with The Institute for Responsible Technology educating people around Socal since January. She is now the Southern California Action Group Coordinator for the initiative -in charge of setting up Non-GMO activist groups all over Socal. She also the administrator for the GMO Free Southern California facebook page.

Please visit to find out more and join the growing group of supporters!
