We'll have speakers on a variety of eco and sustainability topics related to energy, mobility, water conservation, and recycling. There'll be music, information booths and activities. SATURDAY, APRIL 21, (8am-4pm): MONTHLY GARDEN INSTALL

This will be the second phase of the NCC's overall Master Plan to update their church garden. We'll be focusing on planting a succulent slope, as well as planting a children’s garden that will include a seedling program to grow the plants needed to replenish the NCC vegetable gardens. We'll take a break midday over a yummy potluck lunch. Please bring a healthy dish or beverage to share, and your own utensils, napkin and glass. To help out, or to put your name on the list for a garden, just show up at the address above. Bring garden gloves and tools, if you've got them!

SATURDAY, APRIL 21, (9am):
CHILDREN'S GARDENING WORKSHOP

Neighborhood Congregational Church, 340 St. Anne's Drive.
Concurrent with our Garden Install. Activities focus on teaching children ages 5-10 the basics of gardening and how to grow their own organic food. Parents must be present. Contact: [address removed] for more information.

SUNDAY, APRIL 22 (2pm): WILD FOODS WALK w/ GREEN GENE

No need to water, feed, plant, spray or package- just identify and enjoy! We'll forage in a local field in Laguna Beach, examine the current late Spring- Early Summer vegetation, sample some plants and learn a few recipes. Cost: $10, payable to Gene Sottosanto.
