Please RSVP to [masked] for a free lunch.
We'll be in Room 322 at Temple University Center City, 1515 Market Street, just across from City Hall. Enter from the courtyard opposite Market Street.
She will discuss launching and building the business of VTDigger.org, a statewide news website that publishes watchdog reports on state government, politics, consumer affairs, business and public policy.
VTDigger has found a wide range of foundation support, and invites visitors to help spread the word, contribute material, make donations and sponsor the website.
VTDigger.com posts original news reporting, video, audio and photos, in addition to raw information in the form of press releases and government documents. It also publishes 12 commentaries each week. The site describes a coverage philosophy of providing “deeply-reported, even-handed coverage of issues important to Vermonters and to facilitate civil discussion.”
The site lists a dozen staff and freelance contributors, and publishes new content six days a week, Monday through Saturday.
