Just wanted to let you know about this event next week:

Think you know everything there is to know about using Google in your newsroom? Think again! From search engines and maps to Google Fusion Tables and Hangouts, there are always new Google tools available to beef up your journalism skills!

Join the Minnesota Society of Professional Journalists for a free workshop with Google trainer Nick Whitaker. Learn about the latest Google tools that can help journalists with storytelling, mapping trends and more.

WHEN: 7-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13
WHERE: Brit’s Pub Clubroom (1110 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis)

There will be free appetizers and a cash bar. The event is free and open to all Minnesota journalists.
