What to do about Red Rocks?

Hello OSM-CO,

Don’t know about you but I had some time ago seen how Red Rocks was tagged (the rocks as building=yes), and decided to look the other way as I also have wanted to get rocks to render (but not nearly as important rocks, so I used appropriate tags).  However, it can only be ignored so long and recently a note (yes, that new feature that may become a pain) appeared pointing out this tagging for the renderer scheme.  Anyway, I have made an attempt to correct the situation (look at Park Cave Rock and its companion near the southern end); it’s not ideal as it requires a relationship to ‘make them appear’, but is probably better/more accurate than using natural=sand (as someone else did on one lone rock); however I am up for suggestions or over the next week or so I will start ‘converting’ the remainder of the rocks to the scheme found here: http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=39.65800657868385&lon=-105.20030111074448&zoom=18

Of course this is still a ‘temporary’ solution – anyone want to addition petition for rock rendering?

Please send your feedback to me at [address removed] or through the OSM system – russdeffner
