Snowtubing Trip and Brew Tour /Tasting

We'll take a tour of a Pocono microbrewery and taste their hand craft brews then head on over to the mountain for some fun!  Flying down the chutes on your tube - it's not just for kids anymore!  Nothing but unbridled thrills - just let gravity do all the work!

Please note that you must register and book this trip on the Outdoor Connections website to reserve your spot. See link below ....

We will meet up in Manhattan and greet our fellow adventurers for the evening ahead, then drive out to the beautiful Pocono Mountains.

Upon arrival at the Shawnee Craft Brewery, which sits on the grounds of the historic Shawnee Inn, we'll get an tour of their facility - check out the inner workings, equipment, and what it takes to make some kick-ass and unique brews...and no doubt we will glean some cool tidbits of brewery knowledge from their brewmaster.  Shawnee Craft makes their brews with all-natural, whole-food ingredients sourced as locally and as organically as possible and according to centuries old traditions - small batch, handmade beers ofter aged for months or years in oak barrels - unfiltered, unpasteurized, free of any artificial preservatives or shelf stabilizing agents - and all keeping with the Fidelis Philosophy, "True to nature, True to the carft".  The resulting handmade beers are fresh, complex, and deeply satisfying.

After the tour we will cruise on over to Shawnee Craft's own brewpub - The Gem and Keystone Brewpub.  We will sample some of their specialty hand crafted brews and, if you wish, fuel-up with some tasty grub from their awesome menu before we hit the mountain.

Next, we make the drive over to Camelback Mountain Ski Resort for our night of snowtubing under the lights - the biggest and baddest in the east!  During our 3 hour session we'll take advantage of the 38 chutes and 2 magic carpet lifts that will get you to the top fast without having to hoof-it yourself - no climbing, more sliding!  Speed and adrenaline thrills - bomb the hill solo or challenge your friend to see who gets to the bottom first.... bragging rights to the fastest snowtuber!!  Remember those days as a kid frolicking in the snow with the pool innertube?  Here's your chance to feel like a kid again....but this time the hill is bigger, badder, and faster!!

This trip includes transportation costs, brewery tour and beer tasting at brewpub, three hour snowtubing session at mountain, light refreshments served on way back to NYC.

All trip details and final trip itinerary will be e-mailed to all registered guests the week of the trip date.
