Before starting our trip we will go over basic safety guidelines and learn correct paddling techniques. Just like riding a bike, you will get the hang of it before you know it and we’ll hit the open waters. Some of the areas that we may explore are Moodna Creek along the east shoreline and Plum Point Park with it's sandy shoreline beaches.  We will also paddle around the infamous Bannerman's Castle - long since abandoned but steep in lore and mystery.  We may also head south toward Little Stony Point with more scenic and sandy beaches or into a hidden cove past the trestle bridge.  Along the way we will be treated to constant views of the massive Breakneck Ridge and Storm King Mountain to the south.

The placid and serene waters of this area affords great landscape scenery, rugged mountain views, and wildlife spotting in the nearby creeks. We will make our way back to the kayak put-in and break out our picnic lunch and relax at our cozy riverside park and gaze out over the mighty Hudson River and the gorgeous mountain scenery beyond.  Then we'll pack up and head for home but not before a stop at a fun and laid back local vineyard on the Shawangunk Wine Trail to sample some the best local wines in the Hudson Valley.

All trip details and final trip itinerary will be e-mailed to all registered guests the week of the trip date.

Hi- We are already full for Saturday for the transportation option. Only have the 'self drive' option still available but you would need to sign up asap as we need to give the outfitter enough notice so we can reserve kayaks, etc... Thx, Jim
