Can't make it at 6pm? No biggie, I'll be around until at least 9pm. Remote participants can attend through WebEx. If the door is locked or WebEx is down, give me a call at (720) 33-OWASP.

Plan, plot, hack, hang out.

The standing agenda includes status updates on:

  • Participant VM
  • Scoreboard
  • Challenge management
  • Challenge development
  • Challenge-framework integration
  • General project administration
  • Roadblocks

Remaining time will be used for collaboration and coding.

Can't make it to Boulder? We will open video conferencinuseg to accommodate remote participants. WebEx meetings will be available at:

In the interest of public outreach and general security visibility, I've invited a radio documentarian, Jeff Emtman (, to visit our happy little chapter during the Wednesday CTF meeting. He is interested in Mandiant's recent report on Chinese hackers ( and is looking for some help digesting the technical aspects of these and related current events. He is also interested in connecting with someone who has SCADA expertise. If you are up to speed on the recent breaches, feel free to chime in with details, impact, conjecture, FUD, etc..

For the skeptical, cynical, and vigilant, let me point out that I do not know Jeff personally. Take my association with a grain of salt and meter your comments appropriately. I cannot comment on how he intends to use the information he collects. You are free to ask your name be withheld or your comments be taken off the record. No one should feel obligated to talk to Jeff if they choose not to.
