Photographing Nature in a Concrete Jungle

Inspiration comes in many forms, for me it comes form nature. How the natural world can get so badly abused and then gently and slowly finds it's way into the most unlikely places never ceases to amaze me.

Join us as we buzz around Brisbane with our HDLs/point & shoot cameras/camera phones taking photos of the resilience of nature in the city - no experience, level of creativity or fancy equipment is necessary, just bring a willingness to look at and capture the inspiration of nature in unlikely places.

We will meet at the entrance of the Botanical Gardens that is closest to the round-about on the corner of Edward and Alice Street, have a chat then venture into the city. Feel free to call me, Katie, on[masked] if you are running late/lost. I am more than happy to help!

If you don't have a camera or would rather just come along for the walk feel free to join us. The more the merrier!

We will then share our photos on the One World Collective Facebook page (www.facebook.com/theoneworldcollective) to share and inspired the masses!

We will then head to the social enterprise bar that serves only locally sourced goods called "John Mills Himself" located at the rear of 40 Charlotte St, Brisbane (access via 55 Elizabeth St lane). We should be there around 7.30pm.

Big hugs to all!

See you there :)

I see you guys have a lot of meeting going on, and I would love to attend. Unfortunately my parents are coming to visit me from Norway for 3,5 weeks. Well, its not unfortunate, you know what i mean! I really hope you are still going strong and after they leave the 8th May and that you have some dinners or other things going on after that so I could get to know you better.

Speaking of photographing nature, I just came across this story last week....National Geographic took 126 photos to make this composite photo of the giant sequoia known as 'The President'.

Are we beginning to detect a pattern in how Katie's mind works ?....a rope climbing course last week & now we are off on a photographing nature adventure...
