Coffee and Online Business Chat (at Mocha Java Cafe)

Hang out with fellow businesspeople.  Share stories, talk about tech, and get motivated.

What We Do

Hang out with fellow online entrepreneurs. It's very casual.  The social mixers don't have a presentation or agenda.  Share stories, get motivated, and find ways to work with each other.

Popular topics include:

search engine optimization (SEO)

blog monetization

e-mail list building

WordPress

e-commerce

We often share recommendations of good blogs to read, podcasts to listen to, and other resources to help each other succeed.  Need a good web host?  Setting up an e-commerce store website?  Want suggestions for WordPress plugins?  Come to our meetup and find someone you can work with.

We encourage an exchange of value. Please respect that our members are at the meetup to support, not do free work.

Introduce yourself to whoever is nearby and start getting to know each other. Feel free to change up in a while; meeting new people is encouraged.

Location

We meet at Mocha Java Cafe in Ward Centre. It's near Kaka'ako Kitchen and Famous Footwear. We sit indoors.  The cafe has two counters: we sit on the side closer to the restrooms.

How to find us

We wear name tags.  If you see someone taking out a pack of name tag stickers and sharpie pens, that's probably one of the organizers.  Come over and introduce yourself :)

I'd like to thank everyone for all their hard work with these groups, but I probably won't be going any longer. I called two contacts I had made thinking we could help each other and never even got a return call.

I congratulate these two people on their great success since they are obviously so busy they don't have time to return a phone call.

    Best of luck to everyone,

    Rick
