When Love Replaces Fear

We all have likely had experiences with physical, emotional, and mental love, but what about spiritual love?

What is it?

How does one give it?

How does one tap into it?

Is it a lack of such wisdom that is at the root of fear?

Can fear really be removed from ones life?

Come with your answers, questions, or additional insights as we explore this important topic.

Spiritual Wisdom on Conquering Fear
by Harold Klemp,  p. 1-3

Hidden fears – stacks and stacks, piles and piles of them – reside in each human being. What is their origin? Many fears developed before your birth into this lifetime. Each human being carries a history of hundreds or thousands of past lives. That allows plenty of time to hurt others. And it also gives them a chance to hurt you. Get hurt enough in a certain way, and you cringe from the mere thought of that sort of pain.

People are not born equal. At birth each brings a unique load of karma.

But most people have no idea how to work it off. How many even know it exists? And so they cower inside their coats of flesh, too afraid to live and too scared to die.

(…)

Yet occasionally there come these little beams of light, sunshine shining into our lives. And this is the love of God. When we can fill ourselves with this love of God more and more, finally there is no room in our heart for the darkness of fear.

Another great meeting. Thanks everyone. I hope no one was offended or put off by my enthusiasm about my ideas. I get like that when I'm speaking about stuff I'm passionate about. Love to all.

Did we come to any conclusion? :)

    Can Love completely replace fear?

I don't think there was a consensus; however, I think I am coming to my own personal conclusions that, yes, love can completely replace fear. IMHO though, once a person achieves that they are done with samsara.

As always, I thoroughly enjoyed everyone's company. My impression from what I heard others say was the event 'finish-time' arrived leaving folks with a desire to discuss more, to explore more. I think this is a good thing. My thanks for everyone's presence time and energy.

I enjoyed meeting face to face, the new and interesting members. The conversation was great, very lively and varied.

About two years ago we had this same topic and had 18 people show up. That was at a time when we had less that half as many members as we do now. Point being - RSVP early. Coffee Talk only has so many chairs and I'm not sure how far we can go if it turns into standing room only.

“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”
    ― Rumi

I died as a mineral and became a plant,
I died as plant and rose to animal,
I died as animal and I was Man.
Why should I fear? When was I less by dying?

Well, if we're taking a vote, I vote for chipping in for the big room. I'm not interested in standing room only though. My energy level changes when a group reaches a certain size. If it gets too big I'll volunteer to sit this one out. Thanks.

That's what I'm thinking too Wade. Too many people means less participation time for everyone. We are working on it.

      We won't go to SRO.

Reading the intro quote, "Spiritual Wisdom on Conquering Fear
by Harold Klemp" I noticed the reference to reincarnation / karma / past-lives, and thought, wow - seems like a continuation of our most recent meetup. I look forward to this next one.
