Clear Lake State Park is on the shores of California's second largest
freshwater lake. The area is popular for all kinds of water recreation, including swimming, fishing, boating and water-skiing. Hikers enjoy the Indian Nature Trail, the 2 ½ mile, ADA accessible Dorn Trail and the riparian Boardwalk Trail.
Attached is a link with more details:
The cost is $20 per person and payment must be made at least one month in advance so we can get an accurate headcount. Payment should go directly to Satty either in cash or via her Paypal account. You will be sent payment instructions in mid June or once you sign up, if it is later than this.
REFUNDS: IF the trip is full, we will consider a refund (again, you should contact Satty for this) if you can find someone to take your spot. However, the cut off date for this is
one week before the trip – NO EXCEPTIONS. This is for the sanity of the organizer and everyone else. Any questions about this, please ask Satty before signing up.
Check-In Time: 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23rd
Check-Out Time: 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 25th
The Physical Address is: 5300 SODA BAY RD, KELSEYVILLE CA 95451
The entrance to the park is 3.5 miles northeast of Kelseyville on Soda
Bay Road, north of Calistoga in the wine country.
We highly recommend carpooling as there is very limited parking on site. There is an extra charge for overflow parking of $8 per night.
Any excess funds (once we have paid for the campsite, Paypal fee’s etc) will be used to buy group items including:
Drinks for Friday evening, cups, ice etc (because well, this is OHH after all). Drinks are limited, so please also bring your own beverages! There will be some light snacks for Friday also.
If there additional funds remaining, we will purchase the following items:
Tablecloth, charcoal, plates, knives, forks and napkins.
A small contribution will also go to maintaining this meet up site.
We will confirm the list of what will be available and what you should bring a week or two before the trip.
In line with most OHH events, this is an adult only trip, 21+.
You will need camping gear, at a minimum, a tent, sleeping bag, food and water, although we suggest many other items if you’d like your trip to be enjoyable!
We'll be at a lake during a very warm time of the year! Bring your bathing costume and some toys for the water, if you wish.
Any questions, please feel free to post in the comments section or contact Satty (NOT Rick) directly. If the question is specific to the campground, you may also contact them directly on (707)[masked]
We look forward to seeing you there!
