Jack London Square lights up the waterfront with fire-themed entertainment at Jack’s Glow and Fire Show! Free to attend, this show will offer a taste of Oakland’s vibrant fire dance and flow arts featuring poi, fire hoopers, fire spinners, fire jugglers and more. Ok maybe no Demand...but yes fire. The show starts at 6:30 at the plaza stage at the end of Broadway. We will most likely not be able to find each other at the show. So after watching the crazy people play with fire, we will meet for drinks at one of my favorite mid-week watering holes: Merchants' Saloon. If you have leather you should wear it. I like this place because their prices are great and it is a hardcore dive bar with high end booze.
Transportation to JLS is easy on the Free B bus from a Broadway BART station or just make the 15 minute walk from the 12th street station.
Bonus Recommendation: If you choose to get dinner before or after I would highly recommend the Fat Lady. They are known for their Halloween decorations. Reservations are usually a good idea.
