Let's Go Oakland!
Yes, a plaza outfield ticket is included. Parking is not included. (take BART)
OHH is taking the Happy Hour to the game. We will be pre-game tailgating and then sitting together in the stadium. Your Oakland Athletics will be playing and beating the Los Angles Angels of Anaheim (dumbest name ever) at 7:30. The tailgate will include the basics: Burgers, Hot Dogs, Chips, Peanuts and .....while they last COCKTAILS as long as you like, jello shots, rum and coke, vodka and cranberry or straight whiskey. Beer will not be provided, but you might make a lot of friends if you show up with some.
LOCATION: We are going to try and be up front in section B. I am going early and will post on the website as soon as I have an actual spot.
The Swingin' A's will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 1974 World Series championship on Friday, May 30 and Saturday, May 31. Former players from the 1974 A's championship team will take part in autograph sessions and the team will be honored in an on-field ceremony, starting at 5:30 p.m., prior to the Saturday game. In addition, 15,000 fans will receive a Catfish Hunter Bobblehead, presented by State Farm, upon entrance to the ballpark on Saturday. Hunter won the 1974 American League Cy Young Award after going 25-12 with a league leading 2.49 ERA. His number 27 was retired by the A's in 1991. Hunter passed away in 1999.
Please be aware that due to the bobblehead offer this game will be very crowded. Also, in order to get a bobblehead you will have to go in VERY early and there is no in-out privileges. I have friends planning on getting in line at 3:30. The first pitch isn't until 7:30. So it may come down to having to decide if you would rather have a cool little plastic doll or hang out in the parking lot with food and drink before the game.
Tailgate only spots are avail by RSVP only via meetup and paypal. Please click here. and then click the "pay now" link next to the price.
