If you are a professional who provides business advice, services or products (financial, insurance, etc.) to sole-proprietors and businesses in Oakland, then this is the group for you. Our goal is to help each other significantly grow our businesses through quality LEADS. This LEADS/Networking group is geared towards accountants, advisers, bookkeepers, bankers, brokers, attorneys, consultants, coaches, insurers, and other professionals. Although there may be others in this group who provide similar services, it does not prevent your membership. Strategic alliances between “apparent” competitors are great ways to grow your business.
The purpose of Oakland LEADS is to assist you in getting good referrals that will expand your business success. Our goal is very simple, to expand each member's business by promoting and marketing each other! We work together to assist one another build our businesses and achieve our goals. We will do this by providing opportunities to meet other professionals at mini-mixers (think “Table for Six or “It’s Just Lunch”). We will help you organize your mini-mixers and help match you with “power business partners.”
We also offer more traditional mixers with our bi-monthly referral marketing meetings (15 – 20 people) and a quarterly social mixers (25 – 50 people). The bi-monthly meetings will be similar to your traditional LEADS groups where you will have a chance to offer your business commercial and directly solicit and share leads. These meetings will be held at a time that is best for as many as possible, i.e. maybe not always at 7:00 am! The quarterly social will allow you to get to know fellow members in a fun and relaxed environment – think billiards, bowling, golfing, happy hour. We may have to leave the city of Oakland to hold these…. unfortunately…but they will take place in an nearby location.
Finally, we encourage members to post and share resources for the city of Oakland including networking events, links to the websites of networking, professional and business organizations, business support program information, and other resources which would be useful to our members or the clients we serve. For example, if you are planning to attend a networking event, post it on the site and see who else will join you. It is always nice to have a few “go to” people to talk to at networking events.. just make sure you keep circulating out of your comfort zone.
This is the group for you if you are a friendly, positive, dynamic, and success-oriented professional who is devoted to not only increasing your business but also helping others do likewise. You must be willing to actively participate by posting or attending at least one mini-mixer opportunity per month. We also need you to show up to the bi-monthly and quarterly events. Members should be highly motivated to expand the club's membership base because additional members will produce more business leads and general networking opportunities for all members. Once you join, you will be contacted to discuss your business goals and to help you schedule your first mini-mixer!
