MOVIMIENTOS! is so much more than a great club night (Which it is), it is a social group, a film night, a food tasting and an activist organisation and most of all friendly gang of expats from Latin America. Come enbrace Latino London! See you there!
Hola people – hope you are good!!
With sadness we announce the final night at the Salmon and Compass this week after 3 and a half years!! It has been a fantastic host for our activities, and we are the longest running night at the venue and have also contributed to the creation of the Cine Cuba and Kalabash events also held there so thanks to all of you who have supported.
Alot of questions about where next?? Indeed…..all we can say is details will be announced shortly about a regular Movimientos film / DJ night but in the meantime we host an International Landless Day event at the lovely Passing Clouds on the 17th April (details below)
Look forward to seeing you Thursday for a pre bank holiday late license special!!

CINE ACTIVISTA: Mexico special
FILM: Case Rosendo Radilla Pacheco: An Open Wound in Mexico's Dirty War
In 1974, the social activist and community leader from Guerrero, Rosendo Radilla Pacheco, disappeared at a military checkpoint in Mexico. To this day, the case remains unresolved and has become one of the most notorious examples of what went on during the dirty war of the sixties and seventies, when authoritarian regimes attempted to disband those who opposed them. Today, Mexico faces charges of crimes against humanity in the international courts. The film weaves together the stories of people like Tita, Radilla's own daughter, who continue to fight for truth and justice.
