  • Join us for an evening of discussing Ayn Rand’s ideas!

We will be discussing the anti-trust laws as an example of non-objective law. To prepare for discussion please read the article "Anti-trust" in Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal. Also, you many find these entries in the Ayn Rand Lexicon helpful:,_objective_and_non-objective.html

Come prepared with one question or comment for the group to consider; the moderator will ensure you have the opportunity to voice it.

This event is held a private residence in Allen, TX (same location as previous). The organizer will email the address to participants.

For reasons of personal safety and comfort, the owner has asked that I not invite complete strangers into his home. If you desire to participate in the discussion and have never met with one of the organizers, please come to one of our social or dinner events first.

Forgot the Collin County Libertarian monthly meetup at the 5th Street Pizza next to Stacy Furniture near McDermitt and 75 in Allen. It starts at 7pm and normally runs 2 hours or so. I'll try this next time.

Hello Robert, Thank you for the invitation, but we decline for several reasons. We prefer to not change the location of events because doing so causes confusion. In addition, this particular event is organized to be a highly structured discussion with a moderator regarding a specific topic; we would have to abandon the entire purpose and structure of this event. Also, about half our participants for this event live outside of Collin County. Fundamentally, however, NTOS is about Ayn Rand's entire philosophy; while Libertarians have borrowed a few isolated political ideas from Ayn Rand, they have divorced these few ideas from the rest of her philosophy. For example, the principles of non-initiation of force and limited government are not primaries, but flow from philosophical premises and the metaphysical nature of man. While we share some political interests with Libertarians, there is usually little shared philosophy. I would be glad to discuss this with you at an appropriate time.
