I hold a bachelor of science in finance from the University of Kansas. I have professional experience dealing with the bankruptcy of banking institutions.
My wife and I have one daughter.
I love to swing dance. My other hobbies and interests include reading history, weight lifting, hiking, economics, and investing.
Reading Atlas Shrugged was my first encounter with the mind of Ayn Rand. I found in her work confirmation of many of my own ideas about the nature of mysticism, epistemology, & economics. She challenged for me the notion of morality as sacrifice.
I first learned about Ayn Rand by listening to several excerpts of John Galt's speech on Youtube. In April of 2009 I began reading Atlas Shrugged. Soon after I moved quickly through Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal & The Virtue of Selfishness.
I read Atlas Shrugged and became interested in learning more about Ayn Rand's philosophy of Objectivism. I joined NTOS in November of 2009 to meet other admirers of her work and further my understanding of her philosophy.
