I'm joining because I thought it might be nice to meet some folks who get "it" and me!

I'm an engineer in the aerospace industry.
Please tell us about yourself, like whether you are married or have children.
Married for 18 years to Jan. No children. Love my neices and nephews!
Please tell us about your interests, like what you like to do in your spare time or for relaxation or vacation.
I like "getting away from it all." My wife and I are building a house in one of the remotest regions of the contiguous US. Our own little retreat where we are free and free to fail. ;-)

How did you first learn about Ayn Rand and Objectivism?
My Dad had "The Virtue of Capatalism" in his library and I read it while in high school shortly after reading "Free to Choose" by Milton Friedman (not an assignment; just on my own). Anyway, I liked it and agreed with it but it wasn't until college when I read Atlas Shrugged (not an assignment; just on my own) that I started devouring all her books and Peikoff's (sp?) Objectivism.
