I don't know if there are any fan's of the TV show "Lost" out there--but on tonight's episode Sawyer (one of the characters on the show) was show reading "The Fountainhead." Pretty cool.

I love it when her books have a little cameo in movies.
(I first heard of "The Fountainhead" when I watched Dirty Dancy.) I have never watched Lost. I hear it is good, but one of those shows that you become clueless if you miss an episode or two during a season. |

I caught that too and it instantly made me realize there are quite a few parallels between the "others" and their little encampment and Galt's Gulch (yeah, I know, different book). But surely their choice of that book is intentional for some reason.

I also think the placement of the book was intentional. They always have a reason for everything.
But why The Foutainhead and not Atlas Shrugged? I just hope that the placement of such a rational book means that the series will have a somewhat logical payoff. |
