Are you interested in helping to form structured debate?

Are you willing to meet in person to assist in developing this new group?

Do you have a specific social, financial, or political issue to address?

My specific issue is there are too many issues. Growing up is very hard and learning to take a position is hard when there are too many things to take a position on. So my solution is to get people talking more about the issues in a way and with a process that helps people understand them better. I feel, having a central place for this can help to advocate for some and empower people to become leaders in the community who can give people informed opinions about both sides of certiain debates.

  • I design and knit small things. Always have something on the needles and carry it everywhere with me. Used to be books... now it's knitting. Don't much like to read anymore. Too passive. I want to be doing and experiencing life.

  • We should not give in to those who dis anything and everything that charges fees. That is not a healthy response/paranoia. You have legit expenses and asking for donations to cover it is proper by anyone standards who has done anything in business or organisationally. Those who never have and are of the anarchist sentiments may be your only critics. They are a SMALL minority and should be disregarded on that issue. You will never get consensus on such matters (charging fees) in a diverse group.

  • Excellent work and organising. Clean simple and user friendly I like it. I have all the features on this site and much more on SENVI.org. If you know anyone who can admin in that site for movement purposes I will give admin access to as many as can use it. The site is free for all to use (I own the domain and the site fees are paid till 2013.). We have facility for VIDEO blogging (3min clips) for grievance recordings. Also we have podcast features a shop for merchandising using whatever logo etc

  • Hi Backstart? (what is your name?). I suggest using a Paypal account for donations and you actually might get a few (easily done and free when you use your personal name vs. group). Just a thought. If and when you get Paypal I will be glad to contribute $20.

  • Great! What do you think about meeting at the Tim Horton's across the street from the Yonge & Eglinton Subway Station? Say around 10:00 a.m. or so. The picnic starts at 11:00 a.m. but I am flexible.
