Join the YeaShOre Community Bonfire on Ocean Beach

Let's join Raja and the YeaShOre Community again for their October bonfire.  Hopefully it won't be a spare the air day this time and we can actually have it!  Here is their announcement:

The YeaShOre Community invites you to join us at a FREE Bonfire on
Saturday evening, October 19, 2013, at San Francisco's Ocean Beach!
From 7:10 p.m. to 'round 11 p.m.

A fun evening around the Bonfire.

Come for Havdalah, share your voice,
or just listen,
as we watch the flames dance!!

Please bring food and drinks for yourself and some to share.  Also
bring many friends, stories, songs, drums and other musical

The YeaShOre Community will provide chocolate, Kosher marshmallows and
crackers for S'mores!!  We will also bring potatoes and onions for
roasting in the Bonfire!

We will have a Jewish Havdalah ritual about an hour after sunset. The
ritual lasts a few minutes.  As not all the guests at YeaShOre's
bonfires are Jewish, we explain it and invite everyone to join in. (or
at least be quiet).

..Be Seeing You...Maggid Raja Anderson, The Baal (Master of the) Bonfire...

Raja still needs assistance due to the injuries from his car
accident.  Please offer to help before, during or after the Bonfire!

I dropped in on several bonfires before I did. It was a lot of fun. I think the early darkness made it hard to see the windsock.

As did I (scout out several bonfires). Who would have thought the windsock would have been so close to the Highway, rather than the Ocean?

Sorry I didn't make it - sounded like a good night. Too much to deal with at the airport. Yes Raja puts on nice events. We will have to wait until next year for more of his bonfires. Sorry you didn't find it Shula - that must have been frustrating. Didn't think about it being dark now. Raja doesn't use a cell phone and since i wasnt going to be there on time we were stuck just trying to find it based on the wind sock.

Wonderful! A very welcoming community. Worth fighting your way through a closed Great Highway and the Nike tents.

Does anyone have carpool space available from south bay or east bay? If so, I would like to join

Hi all - I'm picking my friend up at the airport tomorrow at 6pm so I may be a bit late, depending on whether his flight is delayed. But the bonfire goes on with or without me as its a Yeashore bonfire and Raja is the organizer. This is their last bonfire of the year! Hope it clears - there is an awesome full moon up there.
