Join Obscura Society for an Ocean Beach Scavenger Hunt! ($5)

Hi Ocean Beach Buddies - this sounds fun - a scavenger hunt at Ocean Beach - perfect for us - who knows this area better than us?

Here is their description:

Join Odd Salon and the Obscura Society at Ocean Beach at noon and prepare to explore from Land’s End to the Murphy Windmill, following clues and finding secrets from the bunkers to the labyrinth, tombstones to shipwrecks.

We’ll meet back at 2pm to compare results over our afternoon picnic.

Saturday May 31, noon-4pm

Meet on Ocean Beach, at the base of the Cliff House

Tickets are $5 per person - get them right away before it sells out!

Wear clothes and shoes appropriate for overland exploring

Bring a pen and notepad, smart phone or digital camera

Pack an afternoon picnic

We recommend bringing bikes in order to cover more territory (I don't plan to but you can if you want)

Well you guys missed a really fun event. I teamed up with two other people and it was really fun and a great learning experience. Poor Shadow was quite tired after. We didn't win but I learned a lot of little history tidbits about our Lands end, the Cliff House, and Sutro Park. Hats off to the Obscura Society for such well researched and fun event.

Thanks for the email Kate - wow - guess I'm the only one going to this. I do still plan to go since its an externally-organized event and I figured I can walk over there with Shadow and have fun anyway, but since I'm the only one, I reserve the right to not show up if I don't feel like it. But I'll leave it on here in case any last minute interest arises.
