Come play with others who enjoy meeting new people, laughing, having fun, and getting fit. I’m looking to share the joy of hula hooping with fellow hoopers as well as those who have never hooped before. All skill levels are welcome to join in the fun!
Hula hooping (hooping) is a low impact activity that has many benefits for the mind and body. The hoops used are larger and heavier than the hoops you may remember. Larger hoops rotate slower which makes it easier to keep the hoop from falling; therefore, hooping has become an activity that anyone can learn to do. Some of the benefits of hooping include building cardiovascular endurance, strengthening the core muscles, and toning the body. Imagine burning 300-400 calories per hour by just playing with the hoop! In addition, hooping builds confidence, improves posture, increases your metabolism, encourages creative self-expression, elevates your mood, and energizes your body, mind, and spirit. Of course, I cannot forget to mention that it makes people smile and feel like a kid again.
I have extra hoops, in various sizes, for you to use if you don’t have your own hoop yet. Come enjoy the free, informal gatherings where people of all ages are welcome to learn, share, get healthier, meet new people, and be playful.
