When should atheism (or a religion) be objectively labeled militant?

We may want to explore how the meaning of the word militant changed when applied to atheism.  Also, is there a double-standard being applied, for example, a religious person wearing a t-shirt proclaiming the existence of a god is viewed as benign while an atheist wearing a t-shirt proclaiming the non-existence of a god is viewed as "militant". A clergy who is adamant about the existence of a god is viewed as being okay while an intellectual adamant about the non-existence is cast as a "militant".

If you want to take advantage of the $5 homestyle buffet, please RSVP [masked] with "RSVP Meal" as your subject line by Tuesday.

We are asking participants to donate $2 to cover the room rental excluding first time participants.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
