Not directly related to the topic, but it is an indirect result of our insatiable desire for recreational drugs:

i think the government is too deep into our personal lives as it is,,, i personally had to postpone getting married until a new tax year so i wouldnt my partner wouldn't be penalized by my business accomplishments!,, but the point i was trying to make is,,,if there were such a thing as "responsible prostitution" and responsible drug dealing,,then the government could and should leave the public alone,,,, problem is both these two practices can be degenerative and self-depracting to those participating in this lifestyle. I'm fairly certain that no amount of legalizing any of these two things is going to make life better for anyone,,,

Law Enforcement Against Prohibition, or LEAP was founded in 2002 by five police officers. It is modeled after Vietnam Veterans Against the War, an organization which earned its credibility by utilizing speakers who had been on the frontlines of the war they later denounced. LEAP now has more than 100,000 members and supporters, approximately 5,000 of whom are from law enforcement, though many choose to remain anonymous. There are 148 speakers living in thirty-five different states in the United States and sixteen other countries. LEAP now has members and supporters in 86 countries outside the US.
The mission of LEAP is to reduce the multitude of harms resulting from fighting the War on Drugs and to lessen the rates of death, disease, crime, and addiction by ultimately ending drug prohibition.
