Ockham's Midtown

Do we have the right to make the choice of using natural resources? There are cities were you can not hang your laundry out to dry. It is not always legal to only use water captured in a rain barrel. A woman in Florida is being told  she has to hook up to city water even though she has no intention of using it.  If you use a windmill or solar panel, do you have to sell that to the city and pay for power from the utility company. That can be true.

Are there city ordinances that seem intent on keeping us dependent? What are the ramifications of this?

Many things that are taken for granted by us were not required in years past.
