Sexual Orientation and Society: What defines a person's sexual orientation/identity?  Why does our culture fixate on assigning only one of two possible orientations when the research suggests that sexual orientation is more of a continuum that encompasses a wide range of preferences?  What are the ramifications of such a fixation? How important is sexuality as a source of identity?

Since there was a considerable amount of time spent on the question of transgender bathroom access, I thought this might be of interest.

It's weird that asexual is so seldom mentioned as an orientation.

(Oh, for the record: I’m not hugely interested in the “Why do you even need labels?” argument. I’m a writer. I care about language. We need language to talk about who we are.)
      Love that!

Interesting questions, even if the "results" are less than scientific: http://mysexualorientation.com/

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
