Programming 101 - The Path Of Code - Part 1

Have you ever wanted to learn to write code? Have you ever dreamt of getting a job as a software engineer but needed someone to help you take that first step?

Come along with Anthony Russell on this journey called "The Path Of Code"

This multi-part, free educational series will assume no prior knowledge of programming and walk you through the basics of C# and Java.

Anthony Russell will teach the fundamentals of C# and Java simultaneously so you can choose which path you want to follow.

By the end of this course you will have the fundamentals of software engineering down and be capable of moving on to more advanced topics such as Mobile Development and Desktop Development.

Don't miss out on this fantastic chance to learn a new trade for free.

If you would like to catch up and be ready for the next class then you will need to learn; How to create a new project (in Visual Studio or Java), Printing to the Console, and the Variable Types String, Int and Double. I hope to see you at the next event!

I'm guessing we should bring our computers, is there anything we need to load in advance? Looking forward to this!

I am actually going to be in Chicago this weekend competing in Battle Hack. So when I return I will be sending out an email detailing everything you will need to have preloaded (for free of course)

What programming topics will be covered in this seminar?

This is exactly as it sounds. I will be assuming no prior programming knowledge. We will be going from knowing nothing about coding to creating and using complex objects. There will likely be 4-5 classes in the series and each on builds on the knowledge from the prior ones.

I am not able to make this seminar because I will be on vacation - I was really looking forward to attending. Is there any interest/possibility that it can be filmed and posted?

I am considering filming these and posting them online after they are edited down. That said, there are a number of free resources already online that would be just as good if not better than a recording of me. The real benefit here is having someone to ask questions to. This isn't a single class, it is a number of classes so hopefully you can make it to the next in the series.

I will be looking forward to attending the next in the series - it would be nice to view and hear what you have to say leading into those next seminars. Thanks.
