I'm Steve Ross and I work for The Nature Conservancy in Ohio as Volunteer Coordinator and Nature Preserve Mangager. My wife Jennifer and I eat, drink and sleep nature - at work and at play. My profile pic illustrates how I feel about nature!
Why do you want to join this group?
I want to help as many people as possible connect with, enjoy and help protect nature and natural areas in Ohio and beyond. Connecting with fellow nature lovers is, in my experience, life-altering so why not use social media to connect those of us who love the outdoors and recruit more of the same!?
What kind of outdoor activities interest you?
Hiking, backpacking, birding, butterflying, caterpillaring, rock hounding...you get the idea: ALL OF IT!

Close! It's actually a whippoorwill. I catch bats during the summer and sometimes we get to get our hands on some other species while netting.
