    Great pic barbara! I think this is a wild lobelia - looks a lot like the common garden variety and when i did a search for wild lobelia, a pic very simialar to this came up! Very pretty!

    Having fun doing a little research on the flower we saw today, barbara! I think the purple flower we saw at the end of the second hike was a Liatris or blazingstar (i shoulda known this one!) and the little yellow one that was just starting to bloom was a flat leaf solidago or goldenrod! learning so much! (i'm sure everyone finds this just as fascinating as i do!)
