Raptor Shoot

  • May 10, 2014 · 8:00 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

Visit the Raptor, Inc. complex, where their educational birds will be displayed for your photographic pleasure. Birds are perched and hand held by the handlers. Photographers are as close as 10-15 feet from the birds and have lots of time to shoot. Tripods and telephoto lenses of[masked]mm are recommended, however, not necessary.

You may bring a non photographer guest, however, you must pay for them.  Space is limited to ten people per Raptor requirements.

You are also eligible to participate in the Raptor Calendar for 2015.  Follow this link for information and image submission information.

If you do not care to pay online, you may contact Rick and make other arrangements.

Boy were we ever lucky today. I caught 2 downpours on 71 coming to the event and one constant one for about my last 50 miles back to Columbus after, so nice job on whoever took care of us staying dry. Lighting conditions were nice and the staff did a real nice job of letting us get the best shots we could of the birds.

Great chance to shoot the raptors! They controlled the number of birds as well as photographers, had great natural settings and allowed plenty of time for all to shoot! No excuse for not getting great shots!

Was driving through some heavy rain about 10 minutes before arriving at Raptors Inc. Once we turned off I275 the rain cleared and it turned out to be a great shoot.
