We're going to head out to the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery (www.boonshoftmuseum.org) in Dayton, Ohio on Sunday, September 15th. The museum is similar to COSI (a bit smaller), with the additional of a small zoo, a mummy, and a dome-shaped Space Theater (additional charge for some shows in the dome).
For those of us that wish to carpool, we will start gathering at the Sycamore Street Kroger parking lot (MAP) at 10:30, departing at 11:00. Update: not renting a van, as there didnt seem to be much need. Still meeting in parking lot with blue Honda civic in case people would like to follow us. I'll be parking on the far south end of the lot in as empty area of the lot as I can, so people can find me.
NOTE: If you wish to carpool in the rented van, you need to RSVP by Monday, September 9th to give advance notice so we can rent a smaller van if there's less need. If you RSVP after the 9th and space is available you may still be able to ride in the van. Anyone not tagging along in the van is still encouraged to carpool with others if desired.
The Boonshoft museum is open from 12:00pm to 5:00pm on Sunday. Admission is $12 for adults, $9.00 for Children. If you are a member of the Columbus Zoo or COSI, there is a discount on admission. There is no cost for parking. There is an eating area with vending machines, but there is not a full service cafeteria.
