The IFPA is backing a campaign to give back to this great person by way of fundraiser events across the country and the tournaments will award the full allotment or WPPR points. Additionally, the winner will receive a $150 gift certificate from Pinball Inc. Come join us in what will be a terrifically fun event! Todd is a very gracious host with an amazing collection and he will be serving dinner during the event. Guest are encouraged to bring their own beverages but please, no alcohol. The tournament will be in a pin-golf format which in unique and fun! The entry fee is $25, all of which will go directly to Mr. Anghelo. Just a follow-up on Back to the Future. For future tournaments, we need to set Adjustment 38 "Delorean Style" to Factory instead of Easy. You would think it defaults to Factory, but it actually defaults to Easy (this is not the only DE game that does this with certain settings). Factory will track each player's Delorean progress individually and reset it between games. We could also set it to hard. This resets the Delorean progress between each ball and is only appropriate for Dan. Congrats to Todd and thanks again for hosting us!

So I have a slight scheduling conflict but would love to participate in this tournament. I have a wedding to attend at 6pm, and living in Edmond, I need to give myself time to get home from Todd's in Yukon, get dressed etc. Seeing as how this tournament isn't player vs player or even "score" based, I don't really see myself needing to be present for the end of the tournament. My question is, would anyone have opposition to me maybe starting at 1pm and trying to get my score card filled with enough time to depart and make it to my wedding?

This is a sad day for me. I will always feel a connection to Python as he is probably the individual most responsible for my attraction to pinball. Growing up, I didn't play a lot of pinball, but the machine that drew me in(along with Space Shuttle) and that I played the most was Pin-Bot. The design credit goes to Mr. Oursler as well but the conceptualization and fantastic art was purely Python. Then, 15 years later, when I was finely ready to dive in and purchase my first pin, but was unable to find a Pin-Bot to bring home, I came across the Bride of Pin-Bot. Another fantastically realized theme, with brilliant creativity (with a healthy amount of sexual undertones;) and I was tremendously happy and grateful to bring it home. And it will never leave. Rest in peace and God bless you Python. I will toast your fantastic legacy tonight as I play your wonderful creation.

Nicely said. I just watched the Pythons World video on you tube. Heretofore I had no idea all that he was responsible for. Here's a link. http://youtu.be/up03z...

RIP Python Anghelo... A true rock star of the industry. With a name like Python... would you expect anything else?

Speaking of pingolf, are the particular rules ready for our perusal yet?

    April 7, 2014

How does a pin golf tournament work?

    April 7, 2014

    • Matt N.

Each machine on the roster will have a task assigned to it. (IE. Start Multi Ball, Start a certain mode, or Hit a certain shot.) Depending on the format you'll have 3-5 balls/tries to accomplish whatever the goal is. If you accomplish the goal on the first ball, you score a 1 and have no need to play more balls. If you fail to accomplish the goal at all, you'll score a 3-5 depending on the attempts allowed/game settings. Lowest score at the end wins. It's really fun. Rules will be announced eventually. But this is basically the idea behind pin golf.
