Ear Inn

This bar was built in 1817 and is a designated Landmark of the City of New York, on the National Register of Historic Buildings of the U.S. Department of the Interior. It's small and interesting and has good customers and very good food.

Thanks! So... anybody up for suggesting another date/time to check out an old NY bar that's not undergoing a renovation. ;)

Hey, this could happen to anybody, and Jon is right -- this is nobody's responsibility. It was just a fun idea. I'm totally game to try again (and usually it will work out just fine). NO WORRIES!!!!

Amy, no worries! By no means is this YOUR responsibility. We are all adults... so now we have even more reason to plan another one : )

I am SO incredibly sorry. I stood outside Ear Inn waiting for you guys for 30 minutes. I tried to post that I went to Emerald's down the block, but my phone wouldn't let me post. I'm really sorry!

Definitely! I'm up for suggestions or can suggest. I propose something soon though to avoid another 6 to 8 month gap lol!

Wow! Got here late and it's closed. Too bad! Went around the corner for a drink @508. Definitely didn't battle traffic to go home "dry" ;)

Apparently the place is re-opening tomorrow at 4. They have been close for a few renovations.

The place is closed. Is there an alternate location to meet?

This is turning out well. I have a friend who wants to join us too. So, I think we'll be 5. No identified spot in the bar to meet - - I've never been to Ear Inn, so I don't know what to expect. I suggest we all belly up to the bar, initially. If we want to move to a table, we can do that after we're all there. See you soon.

I will be there. I am new to NYC and am looking forward to meeting everyone. Is there a general location were everyone meets?

I'll be there as well :)

The Ear Inn is great - would be a fun casual place for a meet-up! Maybe a weeknight when it isn't too crowded? A Tuesday or Wednesday maybe -- a fun (and historical!) mid-week break....?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
