I don't know how else to post this so people will see it. My wife and I host a costume party every year in December, it isn't specifically an atheist event, just an atheist friendly social thing. But my meetup won't show in the list of events until at least two more members sign up.
We hope to see at least some of you here.

Hey, just wanted to get on here and offer a few suggestions to Eric and John about our future meetup plans 1. would you guys be wiling to hold off on some of the planning until we have a steady flow of regulars so who are members will be and who they are. 2. in talking with those who stayed later thought it might be a good idea to adopt a more casual feel for our next 2 or 3 like maybe like a getting know you or a understanding the bible sort of thing for those us who haven't read it (myself included). This no way saying that I don't understand or want the group to have structure to it, because I do. But I think there also I need here to fully understand current and future members needs as well.

I'm sorry I can't attend tomorrow. Holidays are approaching fast. It'd be nice to have gatherings more than once per month. :-)

Hey all. I had planned to make it at the last meeting but I can't make this one. Have a work trip. Actually heading out the door next time. Hope the meeting goes well and I will shoot for the next one.
Gosh, I haven't even been to a meetup yet for this group, and it sounds like it's getting complicated. I joined merely to meet other like minded people to socialize with, but it's sounding more like our HOA. Is the upcoming meeting about logistics, or will there be some kind of social element as well? Curious.

The legal part is a pain, but more so if there is no clear goal or objective. What are we trying to accomplish? Is the group social, benevolent, educational? Then find a group like it and then copy what they did rather than reinvent that wheel. You only need to do it if you are handling money.

Really can't say for sure if I will make it, but wanted the reminder in case I'm free. Count me on the list that is available weekdays/nights, rather than weekends. Thanks!
hey guys, I will really try to make it, but can I get a reminder or something thursay or Friday.

Meetup will send an automatic reminder since you RSVP'd that you are coming.

Just so everyone knows I did do outreach to the Olympia Atheist group I linked them to our meetup so hopefully 11is a lowball number and those who haven't rsvped will show or will RSVP as the event gets closer .

I want to encourage Eric to remain the primary organizer - perhaps President of Olympia Atheists, and Johnny has all the energy to be VP and treasurer. I would be happy to serve as secretary, keep notes, make bulletins, etc. Also Johnny made a good point about collecting dues. Drafting a charter and by-laws, although tedious, is necessary. We have the makings of a genuine atheist organization, and am looking forward to seeing how this develops.

I couldn't agree with you also I think we should strongly consider connecting with other group of Oly atheist on Facebool and tell them about our group and our plans.
rasaki, would you like to make contact with them? everyone, i am having a difficult time of figuring this thing out so i asked for advice from the 3S. i have received a bit of advice about what we are trying to accomplish and i will bring it to our meeting. we will have to proceed as a group from there. by-laws, constitution, and mission statement.

I want to make sure it's for 2pm? Or is it 5? I got 2 different times in my notification for some reason.
