SEVERAL of us enjoyed the first Music in the Park on July 10th. The next one is July 17th. I like to get there early, set out my chair/blanket, pick up my raffle tix, and hang at the Urban Onion for an hour or so beforehand for Happy Hour (Beers start at 2 bucks, shrimp tacos were yummy!).
Here are some links with more information:
You can Google the bands or find their Facebook pages to hear examples of their music, but why not just go? It's in a beautiful setting (Sylvester Park) and is free; they hold free raffles which are fun, and the music is great. Sometimes there is even dancing!
Afterwards, we can always head over to the Pig Bar (at South Bay BBQ just down the street at 619 Legion Way SE) for Open Music Mic Night hosted by Scott Lesman where beers start at $1.50 a draft ... the music is outdoors when the weather is good!
Here is a video compilation of the Bobby Medina and the Red Hot Band who will play on July 17th http://youtu.be/OdlkutK6QmI - I see more dancing in the near future ...
