Now in their sixteenth year of performing, Pearl Django continues to be one of Americaʼs most respected and busiest Hot Club style groups. Their music reaches out across the divides of taste to a wide variety of audiences. Though still strongly influenced by the music of Django Reinhardt, Pearl Djangoʼs repertoire now includes many original compositions. The band's fervent followers include Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli fans, guitar enthusiasts (and guitarists!), lovers of string music, including bluegrass devotees, who relish nimble, clean, intricate picking, “world music”, fans drawn to French and Gypsy accents, plus jazz buffs and aficionados of the new swing music. Transcending simple categorization, Pearl Django packs in enthusiastic audiences at dancehalls and nightclubs, at folk music festivals and jazz festivals alike.

Members:
Ryan Hoffman & Troy Chapman, Guitar; Michael Gray, Violin;
David Lange, Accordion; Rick Leppanen, Bass

Vince has also recently been host to "The Swing Set" a weekly series that has afforded the opportunity to play with some of the Northwests finest musicians including Neil Andersson & Michael Gray from Pearl Django; swing violin legend Paul Anastasio; Steel guitar masters Dan Tyak & Ben Bonham and the mistress of the ukulele Del Rey!

    Great show with incredible (and local) talent! It was a great space too - so nice to have The Art House as another local venue for great music.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
