OU @ Dr. Wheelz' Pad

OU and Amy Denio bring you a Mediterranean joyride of vivacious original songs by Sardinian composer Ersilia Prosperi: Folk jazz with fiercely funky rhythms ~ topped with lush vocals sung by all 7 in Sardinian, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and English!

OU is a sextet based in Rome composed of three women from Sardinia and three men originating from Rome. World-renowned composer and producer Amy Denio met OU in Rome on her birthday last June and fell in love with the sextet’s magical sounds. Denio worked with the band through the fall and produced OU's CD "Pisces Crisis", which was released recently to strong reviews. The album, crafted with Floyd Reitsma at Litho Studios (Pearl Jam's studio) in Seattle, is now available on Denio’s Spoot Music label.

OU is:
Ersilia Prosperi: flugelhorn, ukelele, vocals
Sabrina Coda: alto & soprano saxophone,
Martina Fadda: lead vocals
Andrea Pesce: piano, Fender Rhodes, Hammond
B3 organ, vocals
Claudio Mosconi: electric bass, vocals
Cristiano de Fabritiis: drums, kalimba,
glockenspiel, vibraphone, vocals
Amy Denio: vocals, alto sax, clarinet, etc.

Please take a listen to their artistry, which can be found at Amy’s bandcamp site, and I think you will agree:

You can also get a vivid picture of their work in this short film:
