Monday Night Jazz at The Royal Lounge presents an eloquent and enchanting night with exceptional jazz vocalist Dennis Hastings. Along with Dennis are Phil Lawson on guitar, Cary Black on Bass and Craig Cootsona on drums.

Dennis Hastings has been singing in the Pacific Northwest for over 25 years and has a reputation as a hard working musician with style and grace. A background in rock and R&B has led Dennis to evolve as a singer with one foot in the blues and his eyes on the horizons of jazz and the songbook of great American standards. A professional and engaging performer, Dennis is at ease in any setting, be they concert engagements, weddings, anniversaries, company parties, and other gatherings which require a diverse repertoire.
Mr. Hastings has performed with The Fleetwoods as ‘Mr. Blue’, on the same billing as The Marcels and The Platters, and has been on stage with such luminaries of the blues as John Lee Hooker and James Harmon. He has also been featured in concert with jazz vocalists Cleo Lane and Nina Frelon, as well as with Northwest singers Greta Matassa and Gail Pettis at major venues, including Jazz Alley, Jazzbones and the northwest music festival, Bumbershoot.
Dennis’s rare gifts are on display regularly at a variety of local clubs and theaters. Music lovers consider him a gem of the Puget Sound area.
